Andrew, Paddy and Anna are all experienced advocates who have appeared in every tier of court within the country.  They bring their experience from taking instructions all the way to appearing as your advocate should there need to be a hearing.

Andrew continues to lead the team representing Novus Leisure, the leading independent bar operator in London, with operations such as Tiger Tiger Haymarket.  Andrew has considerable experience in dealing with matters within London and, in particular within Westminster and the city.  He has been successful with applications for new licences in both areas.  Andrew continues to advise on strategy and licensing on premises situated within the Cumulative Impact Zone in Westminster – successfully applying to remove onerous conditions from premises licences in this area.

Anna has acted for a wide spectrum of clients in the alcohol sector, ranging from celebrity chefs to late night multi-site clients such as Intertain (the operators of the Walkabout chain) and the Barracuda Group.  She has established a strong record in obtaining licences and extensions to hours for sites located in stress areas, in circumstances where granting applications run counter to policy.

Paddy has had considerable success challenging Cumulative Impact Policies around the country and defending clients in reviews and summary reviews.

Paddy Whur has been successful in representing the iconic Fabric Nightclub in Smithfield Market for the last two years in ongoing negotiations with the regulatory authorities.

Paddy represents the successful and fast growing Bierkeller operators – Burningnight – including the grant of new 900 occupancy venues against policy and representations from all of the Responsible Authorities in Cardiff, Birmingham and Nottingham.

Andrew looks after the expanding Fever Group and Revolution Bars Group in the South of England.

We represent other famous brands including Po Na Na, operated by Eclectic Leisure – now Brighton Pier Leisure.  We are instructed to represent a number of  football grounds including Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Southampton and Burnley.

The firm has particular expertise in dealing with lap dancing premises under the contentious area of sexual entertainment venue licensing in Leeds and throughout the Country.

For the last eight years Paddy Whur has been instructed by Tesco to represent the company in all contentious applications from Birmingham to the Scottish Borders.

The team also receives instructions from owner operators dominating the Leeds market and elsewhere throughout the country such as the award winning Arc Inspirations, Ossett Brewery, Jones Bar Group and Market Town Taverns.

Andrew is instructed to deal with all licensing work for the Thistle and Travelodge Hotel Groups.
